The Lauzières estate is also a living space occupied by a passionate team composed of people with diverse skills and personalities, who work day in and day out to make sure that the estate's wine is the best.
Christophe PILLON, of French and Swiss origin, took over the Domaine de Lauzières from his father and his business partner Jean-Daniel SCHLAEPFER in 2012.
He has been passionate about wine since the Domaine des Balisiers was created in 1983 when he was only 16 years old. He was therefore able to passively follow the development of the Domaine de Balisiers, a forerunner in organic farming and biodynamics with its use of a lyre-training system for the vines. He has now been personally involved in the Domaine de Lauzières since 1992 and took on the renovation of the estate. With his skills as a locksmith, combined with his father Gérard's background as a tinsmith, together they constructed the metal doors of the Domaine de Lauzières buildings.
Today, Christophe PILLON strives to continually enhance quality at the Domaine de Lauzières and improve their wines in keeping with biodynamic principles.
François was born in 1970 and came to the Lauzières estate in 1993 as a mason with the company that was in charge of renovating the farmhouse. He learned wine growing at Lauzières and five years later, he became crop manager. He then went on to learn cellar work in the Balisiers estate in Geneva. As the manager of the technical infrastructure, François put his love for wine to the service of developing the estate.
Noémi was born in Basel in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. After her Baccalauréat, a day of grape harvesting led her to discover her passion for vine and wine. She trained as a wine-maker in the Swiss canton of Grisons and studied at the Wädenswil school of viticulture.
In 2008 she began an internship at the Domaine des Balisiers as well as at the Domaine de Lauzières where she was able to expand on her knowledge of vinification, maturation and biodynamic practices.
Since 2009, Noémie has been producing wine at the Domaine de Lauzières with passion and dedication in order to enhance the natural qualities of the fruit and the authenticity of the terroir.
In 2012, after 12 years in a large group of Marseilles where she was Assistant Management, Martine joined the team of Domaine de Lauzières. Today, she is in charge of all administrative and accounting management of the Estate and welcomes you from Monday to Friday to open the doors of the vault sales where you can taste our wines in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
